SMT Drives Environmental Conservation Through “STARS GROW GREEN” Mangrove Restoration Activity.

Joining Hands to Restore Mangrove Forests and Promote Environmental Conservation.

Stars Microelectronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited (SMT), a leading manufacturer and assembler of integrated circuits (ICs) and semiconductor devices for the global electronics industry, continues to promote responsible business practices that go hand in hand with social and environmental responsibility through the “STARS GROW GREEN” initiative.

On 7 August 2026, SMT brought together more than 100 executives and employees to participate in a mangrove planting activity at the Khlong Khon Mangrove Conservation Center & Phuyai Chon Homestay, Samut Songkhram Province. The activity aimed to restore natural resources, expand green areas, and help maintain the balance of coastal ecosystems.

The activity focused on the conservation and restoration of mangrove forests, which play a vital role in coastal ecosystems. Mangroves serve as important nursery grounds for aquatic species, help protect coastlines from erosion, and absorb carbon dioxide, contributing to climate change mitigation. The activity also encouraged employees to actively contribute to creating shared value with local communities and society.

The “STARS GROW GREEN” initiative reflects SMT’s commitment to conducting business in accordance with sustainable development principles, with a strong focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations. Alongside its environmental efforts, SMT continues to raise environmental awareness within the organization and encourage employees to take an active role in conserving natural resources and building a more sustainable future together.
