STARS Microelectronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited (SMT) has officially launched the STARS Arena Innovation Contest 2026, a nationwide electronics innovation competition designed for STEM students across Thailand. The initiative aims to foster innovation, inspire young talent, and provide opportunities for students to transform creative ideas into practical solutions that can create positive impacts on society and industry.
The competition reflects STARS Microelectronics' commitment to strengthening Thailand's Innovation Ecosystem while advancing engineering and technology knowledge that drives the development of products for the future. The program aligns with the company's vision:
"Unleashing Thai Innovation. Transforming Smarter Humanity."
Throughout the competition, participants will gain valuable insights from experts in the semiconductor and electronics industries, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and learn how to further develop their innovations into commercially viable products.
In addition to competing for cash prizes worth over THB 200,000, including a Grand Prize of THB 50,000, finalists will receive certificates of achievement and may be considered for future collaboration with STARS Microelectronics to further develop their projects into commercial products or business opportunities.
The competition is open to students currently enrolled in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs at the high school, vocational, undergraduate, or graduate levels across Thailand.
Applicants may participate individually or as a team of up to five members, with one faculty advisor. Each educational institution may submit up to five projects.
STARS Arena Innovation Contest 2026 welcomes hardware-based innovations related to the electronics and semiconductor industries, including but not limited to:
Projects must be original work developed by the applicants, must not infringe on any intellectual property rights, and should demonstrate strong potential for real-world implementation or commercialization.
