Stars Microelectronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited, or SMT, led by Mr. Somnuek Chaikul, Chairman of the Board, continues to support the Hope for Sarcoma Fund under the Siriraj Foundation, with an additional contribution to further strengthen research funding for sarcoma, a rare cancer of connective tissues, to drive sustainable medical advancements.
The Hope for Sarcoma Fund successfully raised over THB 4.5 million during the event “Starry Night Concert with a Taste: A Story of Hope.” The funding aims to support advanced sarcoma research, focusing on developing more accurate diagnostic methods, tissue-specific treatments, and reducing side effects from conventional therapies. The initiative seeks to improve survival rates and enhance the quality of life for patients in Thailand.
Dr. Nunticha Chaikul, Chairperson of the event, stated that sarcoma is a rare cancer that is difficult to detect through routine health screenings. Therefore, continuous support for specialized research is essential to study molecular biology, treatment responses, and the development of personalized and integrated treatment approaches tailored to individual patients. This effort aims to create a “Light of Hope” that enables patients and their families to access more effective treatment options in the future.
